The inaugural season of NBBL kicked off in 2009 with 10 teams signing up all vying to be the first to hold aloft the Pasha B. Quake Cup at the end of the season. Strength seems to be the defining feature of this seasons teams with agility tacking a back seat..... got to love the way bash and crash excites the crowds over skill and speed, but in saying that we do have a few veteran teams who will use their knowledge to excite the crowds with some interesting moves.

We have 3 teams representing Chaos so we will be having some very bloody derby's between them as they not only aim to win the Quake Cup but also prove who is the most deserving servants of the Dark Gods. The next most popular are the Humans who will be represented by 2 teams, both look very similar on paper but one thing we all know is that while they lack the strength of most of the other teams they due make up for it in skill and versility.
The remaining 5 teams all comes from different races all adding extra spice to the league. We have the Undead being dragged out of god knows where to ensure that death is not a excuse for players not to finish this comp. From the Jungles we have the Lizardmen who will be the clear cut favourite for the strongest team but don't ask the majority of them to do anything complicated like picking up a ball. Next up are the Green skins, originally there was rumours that we could have up to 4 teams of them but it seems that they may have had their own qualifying comp with the best of the green being sent. The 2nd last team to come are the nuggetty Dwarves, clearly not a strength team but very skilful and a very hard bunch of nuts to crack. Finally we have the Norse paying us a visit from the northlands bringing with them a variety of snow critters to add some extra punch to them.

Late breaking news, looks like we have 2 latecomers to the league to round it off to 12 teams.... sweeeeet.

So sit back and enjoy as the season unfolds and watch with interest to see what gets a higher tally, the touchdowns scored or the body count.

Cheers
